Chicago was basically frozen yesterday (photos!)

For some reason, we decided to go for a walk to the park in the freezing cold yesterday. It was chilly, and my ears didn’t appreciate it, but it was a nice walk.

I took some photos, because that’s what I do. And I figured it was a good excuse for a blog post. *shrugs*

The water was a weird but gorgeous grey teal.

The embankment along the lake-shore is made up of giant blocks of rock. They were coated in sheets of ice.

The water looked like ice had actually formed on the surface of the lake. It happens sometimes, but I don’t usually get to see it.

There were long-necked white birds swimming in the lake. The jury is still out on whether they were swans or geese. They definitely had black bills. They were too far away to get a good look though, and the zoom on my phone camera gets fuzzy. So here’s a fuzzy photo of the swans/geese.

There you go. Random photos of ice and birds. Let me know if you get bored of seeing pictures of the park. 😛
